Humans are creatures of God who are gifted with reason, so that they can think first whether what they will do is beneficial for themselves or not. Because the gift of God to man is in the form of reason, so that makes man become one of the creatures who is given responsibility by God to worship Him, live by the rules and have a purpose, unlike animals and plants that live without responsibility.
Allah differs in the Koran, which means: I did not create jinn and humans except only to worship Me. Worship means worshiping, which is carrying out all His commands and avoiding His prohibitions. And the commands and prohibitions of God are contained in the Quran and Hadith. And to find out, of course, humans are taught to learn it.
Whereas the purpose of human life in this world is actually to gather provisions for the next eternal life, the Hereafter. All living things in this world will surely feel death, therefore making world happiness the goal of human life is vanity, because all that is felt and possessed in this world will be abandoned and will not be taken to death.
Of course to achieve happiness hereafter, humans must always obey Alllah, do good deeds, and stay away from sin, because good deeds will be a reward that will be a way to get happiness hereafter, while bad deeds will be a sin that will make it far from happiness hereafter.
Humans if they have died, then they will run out of opportunities to get a reward except for three cases. These three cases will make the reward continue to run even though it is lifeless. In a hadith mentioned, from Abi Hurairah from the Prophet, he said:
إذا مات الإنسان انقطع عنه عمله إلا من ثلاثة إلا من صدقة جارية أو علم ينتفع به أو ولد صالح يدعو له
“If a slave dies , then his charity was cut off except 3: charity fingerprints, knowledge that is beneficial, and pious children who always pray for goodness for him “
First, charity fingeryah, ie charity whose reward continues to flow, such as providing funds or labor for the construction of mosques, then during the mosque it is used for worship, then the reward will continue to flow for him
Second, Knowledge that is beneficial, namely the knowledge that is practiced by being taught again or practiced daily so that it is emulated by others, so long as there is who follows the knowledge that he has taught before and even then the reward will continue to flow for him.
Third, pious children who always mendokan the master. A pious child will surely continue to remember the services of his parents so that he will not stop to always pray for his parents to get kebikan in the hereafter.
That is three charities that will not be broken off. Therefore let us make good use of the opportunity of life that God still gives us, because humans do not know how long he will live.
