shalawât (الصلوات) is the plural form of the word as-shalât (الصلاة) which means prayer. So bershalawat to the Messenger of Allah means praying for his goodness. Allah SWT says:


إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ النُبَيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

“Verily Allah and His Angels pray for the Prophet. O those who believe, pray for you for the Prophet and say hello to him. “[Al-Ahzaab: 56]

Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al Jailani Qaddasallah sirrahu have advised that reading prayers to the Prophet Muhammad is one noblest worship. Besides prayer is the most sublime form of obedience, and the highest value of worship that Allah commanded us as a form of respect, glorification and adoration of his degree.

People who read prayer are promised to get the most beautiful place in the hereafter and the most reward. great.

Reading a prayer is a saving deed, the utmost utterance, a worship that is beneficial, contains the most barokah, and the most solid one.

By reading prayer, a servant can attain the pleasure of the Most Merciful God. Gaining happiness and blessing from Allah SWT, blessings that can be learned, blessed prayers, even he can rise to a higher level, and be able to treat heart disease, and be forgiven of his great sins.

He ordered people Believers pray to the Prophet in addition to glorifying him also intended so that prayer becomes a means for them to get merits and gifts from God that is abundant. In this case the Prophet had said:

مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ وَاحِدَةً صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا

Meaning: “Whoever prays to me once, then Allah sighs to him ten times.”

SWT, even perfecting the reward of a conversation that starts with mentioning the name of Allah and reciting prayers to His Messenger.

The prayer read by a servant is a form of prayer and supplication to Allah, sometimes the prayer is offered to the Prophet and not infrequently for himself, because prayer can bring additional reward.

Therefore, spend your time on a minute to read the prayer. Although it looks trivial but holds many virtues.
